Other than thinking that the title was cute, I never had the slightest desire to read Mindy Kaling’s book. I love The Office, and as much as I admired the fact that a young Indian woman was on the writing/producing staff, Kelly Kapoor was my least favorite character – until Andy Bernard showed up and my intense, active dislike transferred to him. I didn’t love to hate Kelly, I hated her, never missed her when she wasn’t in an ep and actually groaned aloud when she’d begin speaking.

Hello 2016! Hello Blog! Remember me?

So, you know...a year off. Not a year off from reading, but a year off from blogging - which, let's be real, I was never really good at in the first place.

My goal - because my best friend said that one should not make resolutions, one should set goals - is to be more active on this place and actually write reviews for the books I read. It's fun and I'm in a book club now which means my book choices are going to be even MORE random. Ha!

So, here's to 2016 and hopefully a lot more action on this blog.

Salinger's writing style is fascinating.

I've watched too many true crime shows not to be aware of The Catcher in the Rye's connection to serial killers. As such, it was impossible to read it without thinking about that fact with every chapter.

Loved it!

Nalini's Psy/Changling series has reached the point where I love every book just because I get to spend time in that world again. Heart of Obsidian was awesome for that reason and because I finally got to find out more about Kaleb Krychek.
